The Finals' coin splatter upon death effect inspired me to try to create something similar using custom shaders and particle systems linked in blueprinting and animation sequences.
My goal with this was to explore overlay materials and how to trigger things like these during runtime, using built in features like timelines and post process effects.
This effect came out how I envisioned it and I am overall very pleased with the results and how I managed to create it effectively and efficiently!
